Wow...

I just turned on the local news to find the anchors discussing a local shooting. Apparently some homeless guy opened fire on three police officers. They showed the mug shot and I immediately recognized the guy as a soup kitchen customer. I never spoke with him, and he never did anything that really stuck out. He was quiet, one of the many that pass through our doors with seldom a word.

Dang, I heard about that, but who would've thought it would be someone you've seen at the soup kitchen. Scary business...

Wow. I grew up in that general area. (Been living on the East Coast since the late 90's) My doctors office had been right down the road from there. (once upon a time)

Things (unfortunitly) like that happen all the time out here. But I can really only remember petty crimes happening out there. (i'm sure lots more happened, it was just out of my relm of awareness)
